Until Justice Just Is 2025

Every April, YWCA of Asheville joins with YWCA USA to raise awareness about the impact of institutional and structural racism and build community among those who work to advance racial justice. This year, our racial justice campaign, Until Justice Just Is (UJJI), centers around YWCA USA’s theme of of Equity in Action: Exposing Myths and Redefining Justice. It will be based on the topics for the 2025 YWCA Racial Justice Challenge.

For four weeks, daily challenge activities (reading an article, listening to a podcast, reflecting on personal experience, etc.) are posted in the Challenge app and website, allowing participants to connect with one another, discover how racial and social injustice impact our communities, and identify ways to dismantle racism and other forms of discrimination. The topics for 2025 are

Age of Misinformation/Disinformation

Interpersonal Racism

The American Dream

Racialization of Crime

The YWCA Racial Justice Challenge is designed to create dedicated time and space to build more effective social justice habits, particularly those dealing with issues of race, power, privilege, and leadership. The Challenge works to foster personal reflection, encourage social responsibility, and motivate participants to identify and act on ways to dismantle racism and other forms of discrimination; this year, the Challenge begins on Monday, March 31, 2025

Register today for the Challenge and to take the Until Justice Just Is pledge.
