Reservations:Reservations for pool use will be by appointment only and solely for our members; reservations are accepted no more than 24 hours in advance. Make a reservation by:
Please call Guest Services or Aquatics to make your reservation.
Or you may download the free Daxko App to your smartphone, and reserve your spot through the button on the schedule.
At this time, we are unable to accept reservation requests left via voicemail or email, so please make sure you speak with a YWCA Staff member if you did not register through the app.
Entering and Exiting the Building: **Please arrive early in order to have enough time to go through our entering procedure and for staff to safely transition you into the pool**
Arrive in your suit and ready to swim; you may take your pre-swim shower in the on-deck bathroom.
Wear your own mask; masks are required throughout the facility.
Upon arrival and before entering the building, a Guest Services Associate will complete a check-in with you. At this point, your temperature will be taken and you will be asked to review the updated YWCA liability waiver. Please observe the queuing cones placed to promote social distancing.
Next, you will be directed to the appropriate building entrance door and the 2nd social distancing queuing area in the lobby. When it is your turn, you will be called to the front desk where you will sign the new liability waiver. If you have any questions for guest services regarding issues with your account, please ask them at this time.
Members will be directed to the 3rd queuing area which has an informational sign with directions regarding timely entrance to the pool deck; for proper entry, please follow the arrow directions.
When the reserved pool time period is up, the lifeguard will blow a whistle signifying the end of your reserved period. Aquatics Staff will then escort members to the designated exit area.
Showers: At this time, the locker rooms are not available for public use; all showers must take place in the bathroom on the pool deck.
Membership:Only members will be allowed to use the pool during this time. For members who have been on hold and have already had their monthly draft processed, you may still reserve a spot at the pool with no excess charge. Members who do not feel comfortable returning to the facility at this time may remain or go on hold for up to 6 months.
Pool Safety:Please note, that our primary goal is for you, our member, to be able to safely enter, use, and exit the pool while abiding by CDC guidelines and regulations. We have taken steps to be as cautious as we can and provide a systematic process in order for members to safely enter and exit the pool and facility.
At this time it is mandatory to wear a mask when in the facility and not in the pool. Some of the specific measures we’ve taken to keep you healthy include:
All staff have been trained on new health and safety procedures
Pool has been drained, refilled, and deep cleaned
All facilities, equipment, and surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected with increased effort and frequency
Staff and members will receive health screenings, including temperature checks, before entering our pool facilities
We will follow local guidelines on the use of face coverings. They are required for staff and members.
We've modified our operating hours and class schedules
Social distancing protocols will be in place, and swim groups will be limited
Reservations are required for lap swim, family swim, and at-risk open swim. Spaces may be reserved 24 hours in advance and will close 2 hours before the activity begins.
Indoor center amenities such as the wellness center, childcare, fitness center, water fountains, and coffee service will not be available.
We understand that for the foreseeable future, visits to the YW will feel different. Thank you for your understanding and for the concern you've shared for our staff who stepped up during this pandemic to provide emergency child care, make wellness calls to members feeling isolated, and volunteer with local organizations to provide food for families. We remain grateful to our members and donors for continuing to support us as we continue to serve our neighbors when they need us most. We look forward to having you back in the building as we move forward together as a community!
